Fall in Lexington

I get it, a post once a month doesn't count as an "active blog." This month, my goal is once a week...and then maybe I'll up it (maybe, don't push it.)  The biggest thing that hinders me?  uploading photos.  That, and the sheer exhaustion of being pregnant.  (When was my "energy burst" and how did I miss it?)  #firstworldblogproblems #firstworldpregnantproblems

Between the dreary falls of the PNW (which have their own charm) and a mild year last year in NC, we haven't experienced a real fall in 5 years.  Ruthie is going on 4 and has never jumped in (non soggy) leaves!  Absence has made the heart grow fonder, and we are appreciating this fall.  Also, "we" are "absolutely loving" "raking leaves that fall from our neighbor's tree."  (quote intervention time)  Note to self: always be pregnant during seasonal yard chore times, very convenient.

With Danny NOT being a resident or fellow, we've had time to do things together as a family.  Like:

Going apple picking together
And she actually could pick them herself!
Trick or treating
Our neighborhood does a fantastic job with Halloween.  We missed the memo to dress up and BYODrinks, so next year we will have a different plan of action.
I'm thinking a whole family theme (maybe Arrested Development "the many faces of Tobias?)
She was allowed to pick her own outfit out this year, can you tell?
We give Ruthie ample time to jump in leaves.  We are making up for lost time.

Update on Teddy:

3.5 weeks ago, I had an ultrasound done, and they gave me a 3D shot of his little face.  If you are able to decipher 3D pics (because my mom and husband can't) here is a great shot of him!  His hand is in front of his left eye, but you can see his mouth and nose pretty well.  He is in the 70th percentile, so he's a big little man.  Here is some reference: babycenter estimated his weight to be almost 3 lbs this week...they estimated he weighed that 3.5 weeks ago.  I could tell you that he is a big boy by the sweet (yet very strong) kicks to my ribs...all day, including 3:30am.
He has Ruthie's nose and cheeks, and I can't wait to smooch them.
