1. She is sleeping better (though now that I have said this out loud, I'm sure she'll regress to show me who's boss.)
Regardless, she is sleeping about 8 hrs a night. And that makes her mama and daddy VERY happy (and well rested). But as good as she is at night, she is just that bad at naps during the day. Our schedule is pretty flexible, I just ask for Sleep, Eat, Play. But our little Ruthie is more like Sleep, play, eat, sleep, play, sleep. We are still working on it. I'm definitely not going to complain. I'll take night sleep over day sleep ANY day. And can I expect her to nap? I haven't taken a nap in almost 27 years. So really I'm not going to put her up to those expectations.
2. She has been smiling.
This makes her mama even happier than her sleeping!
Her first social smile came about around 5 weeks, but it was really hard to get on camera (and these are phone pictures, so sorry for the quality.) She's still a bit picky on when she wants to give them. But, I'll take them any time!

I know I'm cute! (taken at 5 1/2 weeks)

Ohhhhh, Mama is SOOOOO funny! (7 weeks 1 day)
She's so cute! I love the smiles. Crooked like her BFF used to!
ReplyDeletesleep, eat, play - you should write your own book to counter the eat, pray, love...i smell a best seller! or a dirty diaper...
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of the sleep. Luke finally hit 4 hours and I was overjoyed. Enjoy! =)
ReplyDeleteShe is so darn beautiful! Hope you are well and look forward to getting together soon. I know weekends are no good, but we could get together some time this month-with or without our husbands!
