3 Weeks!

So, our little girl turned three weeks yesterday! At her two week appointment, she was not only back up to her birth weight, but had surpassed it by almost a pound at 7 lbs 3 oz. Atta girl! Now a week later, she has grown out of most newborn clothes.

I sleep like my mommy!

Smiling in my dreams...

She's also just getting over her first cold, and though the sniffles aren't usually a big deal, to this mommy it was a big worry. Roo Roo handled it wonderfully, though.
With all the visitors we have had (moms and dads, and my sisters will be here soon...) along with the busyness of having a new baby - it's hard to decide what is bloggable. Needless to say:

1. we have been very blessed with all of the help and love everyone is showing to our little Roo.
2. parenthood is very hard and emotional, though 200 percent worth it - don't let anybody tell you different.

The love that showers our little Roo is incredible thus far. Mimi and Papa came out on her birthday. Mimi stayed for almost 2 weeks, and just a week later bought a ticket to come out with Aunt Caca and Aunt Oofu - Mimi couldn't go more than 2 weeks without seeing our Ruthie. Nana and Dadaw (Danny's parents) came out when Ruthie was 2 weeks old. Nana cried when she first laid eyes on her first grandchild, and Dadaw and Nana fought over who got to change her, sit by her, and just hold her. Nana also stayed a week to help out. Along with all of the visitors, everyone in the family (aunts, uncles, cousins) loves to skype and talk to our little one.

But with all of this love, nobody's can compare to the love her mommy and daddy have for her. Everyday I love her more than the day before. I look forward to everyday with her - especially since she is waking up and more alert each day. I love when I kiss her little cheek and she coos, or when she hears my voice and turns her head to see me. She is just as attached to her daddy. Tuesday night, Danny was on call and couldn't hold her (due to dirty hospital germs...) but that didn't stop Ruthie from finding her Daddy! She heard his voice, and turned her head so far back, I almost thought she would hurt herself!

I hear you, old man...now where are you!

Whew, I thought I lost you...now come cuddle with me!

We are loving getting to know our little girl, and she is such a blessing in our lives.
