We just finished our little Ruthie's first birthday party, and had a blast. We had it at a candy store, and the theme was lollipop. All of the kids got to stuff and stuffed animal, and we had enough sweets to feed a small (or large) army. We invited many of the people in Ruthie's life, and seeing everyone together made us feel so very blessed. (We wish our family and friends from Indiana (and beyond) could attend, but that darned "distance" thing got in the way again. Don't worry, they were there in spirit!)

Thank you to everyone who came today! We love you all, and are so very thankful to have you in our lives. When our family is so far away, it is easy to miss them, but today reminded me how blessed we are to have such loving people so close.
