My little girl is 4 months old! (okay, so she was 4 months old 11 days ago, but I'm a bit behind, okay?) It's been such a great (and busy) month for us. Our little girl is turning out to be such a happy, pleasant and easy baby! It's hard to believe that my little girl isn't a newborn anymore, but a baby. What happened to the time? Babies trick mommies. They make you think your little one will be a baby forever, but she won't. Luckily, God makes them really little, cute and very charming for the first few years of life before the tween/teen years start! She certainly is the sweetest baby I've ever met. My mom made the point that she is so good, both Danny and I freak out when she cries because she doesn't do it very often (I'm talking about cries here, not sasses...she frequently lets us know what she wants, but rarely is it unpleasant.) Everyday that goes by, I just praise God for this little blessing in our life. She brings so much joy into this household. I just hope someday she knows what she means to us.
Four Month Top Ten
10. Started napping during the day! (this coincided with number 9)
9. Found fingers. You suck the same fingers as mommy did as a little girl! I like it because as you suck on your fingers, you are also signing "I love you."

Here's you sucking those fingers while Great Grandma Moore holds you
8. First flight and met all of your family members - you did great, though you did not like having to sit still so long
7. Hung out in the nursery at church for the first time. You get lots of cuddles there, so you love it.
6. Found your voice, and then some! I often hear you in your bed just chatting away! Daddy says it sounds "angelic." I agree.
5. Now have enough hair on top of your head to hold a bow! Unfortunately, we need to wait until your hemangioma goes down, but at least you are there!

4. Started solids. We started with cereal, and the doctor Ok'd introducing you to fruits and veggies to get you interested in the cereal. We need you to gain lots of weight, so this should help! So far you have had bananas, sweet potatoes and peas. Interestingly enough, bananas are your least favorite.
I don't know about this stuff, mama!
So this is what you guys have been keeping from me! I wuv it!
3. Figured out how to play with toys
You with Sophie Giraffe. Teething much?
2. Started laughing - It's just about the sweetest sound in the world.
1. You sing and read with me! Every night I sing you "Jesus Loves Me" from a book. You love it. You sing along with me every time (though it sounds more like extended coos.) When daddy reads to you every night, you always coo right along side with him. You don't know it yet, but doing this helps you learn how to talk to us, and it is so precious.
We love you baby Roo, more than you know. You are amazing.
Here are her stats from her 4 month check up
Weight: 12 lbs 1/2 oz - 14th percentile
Length: 23.5 in - 20th percentile
She is a tiny little thing, but as the doctor says, she is as healthy as can be. She eats tons (breastfeeds and then takes 3 oz more from a bottle...and she has taken 12 oz from a bottle before.) She isn't skinny, just petite. Maybe we'll see a growth spurt before next appointment.
