A little story of the moment:
Like I said, it's been a rough month, and all of us were affected...even Pumpkin. She's had some bladder issues, and because of it, we have to take her out all of the time.
Yesterday, we went to the park, and we played for probably an hour and 45 minutes. We came back, and Ruthie was excited to see Punkers and take her out. I called for her to go potty, and usually, she comes a runnin'. She didn't. I checked the bedrooms, she was nowhere. So, of course, in my mind, it means my dog was stolen by some monster of a person who also (probably) rifled through my underwear drawer and is also wearing all of my jewelry as we speak, probably - though the door was locked and the alarm still set. I ran outside screaming her name. My neighbor came out holding her. Thank.Goodness. Nobody went through my undies drawer. And my dog is safe.
I guess, as we were leaving the house to go to the park, we left the door open for more than 10 seconds (which occasionally happens.) Somehow, Pumpkin thought this was her cue to go outside and go potty, and bolted for it. We didn't know. Luckily, she is a scaredy dog and stayed around. Also, we are blessed with awesome neighbors who scooped her up and dog sat her until we were home. Hopefully, she learned her lesson and didn't learn to love the taste of freedom...hopefully. I also learned that I must love my dog more than I think I do...
Failure to launch - tried to make it out on her own, and came running (or carried) right back home.
Potty training
Moved to cloth diapers to help with the potty training.
Story time with arts and crafts! - as well as some stumbles and banged up noses
I'm glad you're back!
