She did wonderfully. Ask her about her day, and she'll tell you, she ate goldfish and she "made friends." Unfortunately (for our future,) when I showed up, the rest of the girls seemed to be holding hands quietly (can't make this stuff up) while Ruthie held a screaming match, rough housed and chased the rest of the kids. She may take after her mama, which means she won't be chosen to play Mary in the Nativity because she does not possess Mary's "gentle spirit." (Whatever, I'm not bitter. Mrs. Reager passed up some good acting on my part. I can play to the audience, you know.) But, then, I'm assuming here, aren't I. Maybe her music teacher can see the potential in her, and not make her play one of many angels made to hold their hands in the air for the entire "Gloria In Excelsis Deo." Maybe. I see some dramatic potential in her.
Ah, well, at least she'll know how to have fun, and she'll know how to speak her mind. So, if anyone is talking to Danny for the next 20 years, sympathetically ask about his sanity. Between Ruthie and myself, he may not have any left.
On a serious note, she did wonderfully, was the only child not crying, and she can't wait to go back. I couldn't ask for more.

Hahahahaha gentle spirit. Hilarious. So glad day one went well!
