First, Ruthie had two showers in Evansville, IN (and if people want her there...I have to come so she can bless them with her presence.) It was so great bringing her there for the first time!

Filled with bows and cute things, it was a Freeman girl's dream. Then, my "other moms" made some amazing edible creations, here are a few of my favorites...
And this is ALSO every Freeman girl's dream.Danny's mom, aunt Beth and Grandma Mobley ALSO threw a shower for our little treasure.

Not only was it so cute, but so yummy!With these two showers, I realized how truly blessed we are as a family. The showers in and of themselves were cute-a-palooza'a, but most of all, they were outward expressions of how much love Ruthie has already come into - let alone what she will experience in her life. Friends and family came from literally near and far to join in on celebrating our little Ruthie's life. That just amazes me! Being around everyone made me realize how much people have meant in my life, and how much I want them to mean in Ruthie's as well. It is hard, considering where we live, but the showers helped me realize it isn't impossible!
Some funny lines said by the little ones in my family:
(Poor Izzy kept thinking we were having birthday parties for Ruthie) Izzy: Jaci, does your baby come out TODAY? Me: Not until after Valentine's day, Izzy. Izzy: So, will she come out tomorrow?
I was sitting at the last shower, listening to my niece Izzy tell my other niece Gracie "Did you know Jaci has a baby in her belly? And when she eats, the baby catches it?"
Gracie: We are going to a party, and Isaac and Daddy can't come because it's only for girls.
